My motivation for real world practice

 

   My motivation is to gain key experience in real world practice in order to evaluate and further develop my current set of skills. This can be later shown as evidence in my portfolio at the end of year show in July 2013.

 

 

Why Hope Technology was chosen

 

   I have chosen Hope Technology, who are a well established “high end” British based niche manufacturer. Their products embody flair in design and precision e –manufacturing. Hope are an aspirational brand who have a loyal customer base who appreciate excellence in both their product and the customer support offered.

Hope has a perceived high level of engineering excellence and this can be applied to other product segments of the bicycle industry.

 

 

What I can offer

 

   I can offer to propose new products to which can expand the Hope brand into new market segments.

   One such segment could be home/workshop bicycle maintenance products, which could incorporate a range of structured products or tools, introducing the new comer to the Hope brand and giving the existing customer an enhanced experience of the brand. The tools will address the needs of the user through the ‘ good, better, best’ philosophy. Good quality tools would accommodate the needs of the novice user and the best for the professional.

 

 

My practice

 

   I would like to achieve from this email the possibility of a live project or failing this to gain advice or criticism in key points of the project.

   I would be able to devote some four to five hundred hours on this project between February and June 2013. This work would be carried out with no obligation or cost to Hope Technology.

 

I would carry out most of this work at home, university or performing additional research with the user demographic.

   I would be available to travel to attend meetings at your factory if appropriate
